Prompts/Packets

As this is an asynchronous tournament, we are running limited prep (LP) rounds with an inherent honor system, Please abide by this system and only use the legal amount of prep time provided to you as impromptu is the only one of these events in which students will record prep time. (All other LP events should only submit the recording of their speech.) Please refer below for how prompts / packets will work.

Impromptu

Students should choose one of the 3 prompts to create their impromptu speech:

  1. "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." - Confucius

  2. "Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear." - George Addair

  3. "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." - Chinese Proverb

Radio Announcing

Rules 1 and 2 from the WFCA handbook are void. Students may source their material from anywhere on the web during their 30 minute prep time.
